Having been involved for some years with the Gloucestershire Hub of Fredericks Foundation - a charity making business loans to those who cannot access funding anywhere else - we were delighted in 2011 to be invited to organise the launch of another Hub, this time Fredericks Oxfordshire.

The venue was the stunning Blenheim Palace in mid-June, where 250 guests enjoyed a rousing welcome from the prime Minister David Cameron, who described the organisation as a true Big Society business, with those who have become successful in business lending help and support to those who are for one reason or another struggling.

We worked with staff and the events team at Blenheim, organised the entire event from identifying and inviting attendees, arranging the speakers, we produced all the event literature and were involved in the follow-up actions.

Since this launch we have since been contracted two days a week during the expansion of this client's operation across the UK, following a successful bid for RGFII money, to help launch the new regional Hubs, bringing them all in brand and producing every item of online and print marketing collaterol on their behalf. We are about to launch the London Hub in June 2012, with others to follow across the country from Cambridgeshire to Yorkshire.

(Marketing types are the worst at blowing their own trumpets. We know this is a simple website, we have it only so we can keep it updated ourselves with little fuss. We spend the rest of our time selling our clients' businesses, not developing flash whizz-bang material for ourselves. It doesn't mean we can't, or that we haven't done so for our own customers. When we get the time we'll update this website - we have a much cooler one that's been 'under construction' forever, but frankly, at the moment our business comes by word of mouth through satisfied and loyal customers. Until we have to, or until we get snowed in for a week and can't communicate with the outside world, we're not going to distract ourselves from our core business and finish it. But one day, we will.)
